Travelers at five of Portugal's biggest airports will use their faces as the sole identity document needed in a new biometric program.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the acceptance of touchless technologies, including biometric-based systems in aviation.
Vision-Box and ANA Aeroportos de Portugal have launched the Biometric Experience by VINCI Airports at Portugal's major airports to create a seamless travel experience.
The program will automate the traveler's journey using biometrics, eliminating the need for documents and improving operational efficiency while ensuring data security and confidentiality.
