Norse Atlantic has added an eighth weekly flight from New York JFK to Rome, which arrives in Italy at 03:45.
It overtakes what was to be the earliest transatlantic arrival: TUI Airways from Melbourne (FL) back to Glasgow.
Arriving at 04:25, Aer Lingus from JFK to Dublin is the first daily service; passengers can connect across Europe.
