The Harrier Jump Jet, a VTOL attack jet developed in the 1960s, remained a dominant force in V/STOL fighter aircraft for an impressive 46 years.
Despite being phased out, some militaries like the Italian Navy, Spanish Navy, and USMC still utilize the Harrier.
Upgrades are being made to the Harrier to keep it competitive, including avionics and software upgrades.
