The MiG-21 was the most-produced supersonic fighter aircraft and had international success due to its export to countries like India.
The MiG-23 was the first Soviet fighter to offer look-down/shoot-down radar and was armed with beyond-visual-range missiles. The MiG-27 was designed from the MiG-23 as a ground attack aircraft.
The MiG-25 was designed as a response to the American XB-70 Valkyrie bomber and remains the world's fastest combat fighter. The MiG-29 was designed as a supersonic air superiority fighter.
