AFA Alaska is applying pressure with a strike authorization vote to address flight attendants' economic requests.
Flight attendants were frustrated to learn that Alaska Air Group had $1 billion in cash for acquiring Hawaiian Airlines but claimed they couldn't meet their contract demands.
The next step is a vote by AFA Alaska members starting on January 8th, followed by potential release from mediated negotiations and a 30-day cooling-off period.
