The MiG-25 was a supersonic interceptor jet feared by the West, but its secrets were exposed when a defector landed one in Japan.
It was designed for fast reconnaissance missions and intercepting enemy aircraft, equipped with impressive technology for its time.
The MiG-25 was later developed into the MiG-31, which is still used by the Russian Aerospace Forces and has seen action in Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
