The Airlines Operating The Airbus A340 This Month

As of January 2024, just eight airlines offer scheduled passenger services onboard the Airbus A340.

Only 70 out of 377 Airbus A340 jets remain active as of January 2024, indicating a decline in usage and potential retirement of the aircraft.
Lufthansa is currently the largest A340 operator with 34 jets, but they plan to retire them soon in favor of the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787.
SWISS, Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas, Kam Air, Surinam Airways, South African Airways, and Mahan Air are among the few airlines still operating the A340 on long and short-haul routes.
