There are currently 13 active L-188 Electras, operating a variety of freight and firefighting services across Canada and US.

Only 13 Lockheed L-188 Electra aircraft remain active worldwide, with Air Spray and Buffalo Airways as the two operators.
The L-188 Electra initially gained popularity with airlines, including American Airlines and Qantas, but fatal crashes and expensive modifications caused its popularity to decline.
Air Spray operates the oldest L-188 Electra, while Buffalo Airways has the five remaining aircraft, all of which have been converted to cargo planes.
